Wood flooring

Flexyfix can be used for many applications when working with wood flooring.

It is ideal for use when setting out a new wood block flooring job. By using flexyfix adhesive on the head line the blocks will be firmly fixed within half an hour and ready to let you begin the installation proper without the risk of moving the header row out of place. This means there is no wasted time in waiting for the adhesive to cure and unlike using other adhesives there is no risk from foaming.  The flexyfix adhesive is also clean and easy to remove from the finished surface should you be working with a prefinished floor. In addition to setting out, flexyfix can be used to fix the final row prior to cutting in the border. You just need to ensure that the adhesive remains inside the line of where the border will start.
Flexyfix is also useful when full board replacements are done. The replacement board can be fixed to the ground with flexyfix so you have a high grab rapid strength build up of the bond which when used together with a PVA adhesive on the joints will give you a fast and clean solution to board replacement.

There are many uses for flexyfix but one that is increasing rapidly is for fixing of chipboard flooring onto joists.  This method means there is minimal risk of the flooring developing a squeak after installation as a result of nails or screws causing friction on the chipboard.

Ideal for use when:

  • Setting out Block Flooring
  • Fixing final row of blocks ready to cut in borders
  • Starter rows for plank and strip flooring
  • Finishing strips for doors etc.
  • Replacing floor boards
  • Fitting chipboard to joists where there is a need to prevent squeaking in the flooring
